• 1999 3-months stay as a student in Beijing

• 2001 Abitur in Cologne and internship at Bayer Beijing

• From Winter Semester 2001 on student of Chinese Studies

• Winter Semester 2003/04 pre-Diplom examination

• Summer Semester 2008 passed the last Diplom examination (Strategic Supply Management)

• Winter Semester 2008/09 Diplom thesis (focussing on Chinese Environmental Law)

Athletic Background:

• 1993 Cologne student champion high jump and 800m

• 1994 West German student champion swimming

• 1995 first contact with fencing at a trial course

• since 1995 polyathlon and foil fencing

• since 1997 specializing in épée, until 2000 participates in pentathlon

• since late 2000 specializing in épée fencing
